Description
Gel batteries are sealed solar batteries designed with a continuous rolling and stamping grid structure meager corrosion rate. The internal use of mechanical through-wall welding reduces internal resistance, which is conducive to high current discharge. XGE Series gel type battery are general-purpose batteries with 12 years of floating design life at 25℃, with perfect performance, maintenance-free, and can be used in outdoor and indoor environments without leaking or maintenance making it best in its class. Meet with IEC, BS, JIS, and Eurobat standards, UL(MH62092), CE approved.
Gel Batteries Features:
* Heavy Duty Grid
* Mechanized assembly
* Non-spillable construction
* High Reliability and Stability
* Sealed and Maintenance-free

The gel battery is a type of lead acid battery, not lithium battery, which is also called sealed lead-acid battery(SLA). Gel batteries are filled with silica to coagulate the electrolyte, and require less maintenance than traditional flooded lead-acid batteries.
If operated in the right ways, and the operation temperature range is between -40 and 65 °C, and remains in charging condition during no use, then the lifespan of the gel battery will be about 4 to 6 years.
AGM and GEL batteries will be labeled on the appearance to show they are AGM batteries or GEL batteries. So you can check the labels first, if it shows Absorbed Glass Mat, dry cell, or value-regulated, it is AGM. While the GEL batteries will show GEL-filled labels.
More Expensive than common lead acid batteries: GEL batteries will be more complex to produce compared to some other types of lead-acid batteries, and this makes them more expensive.
Sensitivity to charging conditions: The gel batteries have requirements for charging conditions, if the charging parameters can not meet the needs, it will damage the gel battery or even influence the lifespan.
